Prof. Holger Jacobs advises small and medium-sized businesses, agencies and organisations on design-related projects. Rather than relying on pre-packaged consulting frameworks, he engages in direct dialogue to analyse each client’s specific challenges and develop concrete, actionable solutions.
Member of the Chartered Society of Designers (CSD), the International Society of Typographic Designers (ISTD) and the Royal College of Art Society
Holger Jacobs is the creative force behind Mind Design — an international design studio based in London that specialises in developing cross-media visual identities. Before founding the agency, the Royal College of Art graduate worked as an art director in Tokyo. His projects have been showcased internationally in various design books and journals.
Alongside his agency career, Holger Jacobs is a Professor of Corporate Design and Typography at Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences, and he regularly gives lectures and workshops for businesses and organisations. In the future, he plans to focus more strongly on his work as an independent design consultant.

Good design — like good consultancy — is honest, and it is precisely this honesty that makes it effective. It does not arise from marketing guesswork or data-driven strategies, but through conceptual rigour, skilled craftsmanship, and, most importantly, intuition. Guided by this approach, Holger Jacobs advises and supports clients on the path to noticeably more successful design projects. The aim is to create simple, intelligent, and emotionally engaging design solutions for complex challenges.
